View mode
Switch view in the Tray menu flips between the two states. A check mark means board view is active.

The two are never on at once — that would show every desktop item twice. Creating a new board switches back to board view automatically, since otherwise the new board would be invisible.
Desktop view is useful for screen sharing, for a moment of "just show me the plain desktop", or for comparing the two. It does not quit DeskDrawer and does not change any board.
