Work area
Windows reports a work area per monitor. DeskDrawer places and re-tiles boards within it, which is why a board does not end up half-hidden behind the taskbar.
Since 1.2.8, when the work area changes — the taskbar set to auto-hide or moved, a toolbar docking, a resolution or scaling change — boards that would stick out are pulled back inside it automatically. A board left outside every monitor, typically after one is unplugged, is corrected with Fix misplaced boards in the Tray menu. Boards that are still in a valid position are left exactly where they are.
